Risk Mitigation Programme (RMP)
Risk Mitigation Programme (RMP)
After all pre-authorisation stage conditions are met and licence is granted, Authorised Firms enter the supervision stage.
At the authorisation stage, firms are typically issued a Risk Mitigation Programme (RMP) setting out conditions that must be fulfilled prior to commencing operations.
Upon full completion of all RMP conditions, AFSA issues an RMP Closure Letter, formally permitting the firm to commence operations.
To close each RMP item, the Authorised Firm must submit clear and comprehensive evidence demonstrating fulfilment of the relevant condition. Submissions must be made by email and include:
- Supporting documentation for each RMP item
- A brief explanation indicating the corresponding RMP condition
All evidence documentation must be provided by email and submitted before the stated RMP deadline.
