How to apply for Post-registration

If your company needs to complete post-registration, here is an overview of the process, our requirements, and how to submit your application.

Please read this page carefully. While it may contain a lot of information, it is essential that you understand every stage of the post-registration process.

BEING PREPARED, COMMITTED, AND WELL-ORGANISED

Post-registration obligations must be taken seriously. When submitting your post-registration application, your company should be prepared, committed, and well-organised to comply with:

  • our current regulations and guidance on an ongoing basis, and
  • any future rules or requirements that may be introduced.

As part of your application, you’ll need to demonstrate that your firm is capable of meeting these obligations and that you’ve taken the necessary steps to plan ahead.

PROVIDING FULL DISCLOSURE

You must fully disclose any information we request. We take this very seriously and may reject your application if we discover that an incomplete set of documents has been submitted.

IMPORTANT

Providing false or misleading information to the Registrar — whether spoken, written, or in any other form — is an offence under Section 200 of the AIFC Companies Regulations. Breaching this regulation may lead to penalties or fines.

TOP 3 TIPS TO AVOID DELAYS

Doing these things will help your application go as quickly and smoothly as possible.

✅ Ensure your application is complete. Submit all required forms, properly signed where applicable, and provide access to any password-protected files.

✅ Cooperation is extremely important. Respond within the requested deadlines and clearly outline the compliance measures your company has in place to meet ongoing regulatory obligations.

✅ Check your documents for accuracy. Make sure all information is correct, up to date, and consistent across your forms and supporting materials.
