Mrs Angela Knight is the Chair of the Office of Tax Simplification for HM Treasury; the Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of TP ICAP Plc, the largest global interdealer broker; an independent Non-Executive Director of the UK housebuilder Taylor Wimpey Plc; and specialist finance company Provident Financial Plc. She has served on a number of other UK company boards and has been the CEO of Energy UK, the British Bankers’ Association, and the Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers.

Mr Gregory Tanzer is a qualified solicitor and barrister with extensive financial regulator experience in Australia. He served as a Commissioner of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and Secretary General of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions.

Mr Mukhtar Bubeyev is a qualified professional in banking supervision and financial services sector. Previously he headed banking supervision at the Financial Markets Supervision Agency of Kazakhstan. He also served as board member of Kazakhstan’s central bank responsible for monetary policy.

Mr Bubeyev served in capacity of Chief Executive Officer of the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) from 9 July 2018 till 17 March 2022.

Mr Kushimov was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Astana Financial Services Authority on 17 March 2022.

Mr Kushimov has extensive experience in senior positions in the area of financial market regulation. Prior to this appointment, Mr Kushimov served as Executive Body member in charge of FinTech regulation and company registration at the AFSA. He started his career at the AIFC in 2018 at the Astana International Exchange (AIX), where he oversaw matters relating to the regulation of issuers and IPOs of Kazakhstan’s and international companies.

Over the years, he has held various leadership positions in the civil service, including ministries of justice and interior.

A Bolashak graduate, he holds LLM degree from the University of Cambridge, Faculty of Law (2013).
